The information listed below is an introduction to Caswell Machine Works, Inc., a company which was started in New Jersey in 1953 by my father, Norman F. Caswell. In 1985 I became president of the company, which my wife and I presently own and operate in Leeper, PA.
Over the years Caswell Machine Works, Inc. has evolved into a company with a specialized area of interest.
We custom design and manufacture crimping collets and our own line of crimping equipment used by companies for various crimping applications. Crimping collets attach spray applicators onto glass bottles or aluminum cans and wicks onto candle lamps. We also design crimping collets and equipment for crimping applications in the automotive and electronic industries for purposes such as crimping one component to another to assemble sensors for vehicles and thermostats for appliances. We manufacture locators to bring the bottles, cans, or parts into the center of the collet so that crimping can occur while downward pressure is applied to insure a good seal and prevent leakage when applicable. We have designed and built a crimping head which houses the collet. The crimping heads are featured on our various machines and are also available to be purchased for integration into your new or existing production lines. We also produce internal crimping collets and segmented internal crimping collets for attaching spray actuators onto aerosol cans. De-crimping equipment and collets are also available. Pictures of most products can be accessed from the main page of Caswell Machine Works.
