Caswell Machine Works is located in Leeper, PA and has been in business since 1953. We specialize in designing and manufacturing crimping collets and custom made crimping and de-crimping equipment.

Some industries we serve are the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, contract fillers of various other products, industries using crimping applications in the assembly of automotive and electronic components, and various other industries where there is a need for one item to be "crimped" to another.

Some current applications for our crimping equipment and collets are: attaching actuators to perfume bottles, pharmaceutical cans, and spray cans such as mousse, hair spray, paint, etc. Other applications include, but are not limited to, the crimping of components for automotive sensors and thermostats for appliances and crimping wicks onto candle lamps for use in restaurants.

We are pleased to provide "crimped samples" of your particular components for your inspection.

Collets and Crimping Equipment:

Collet styles listed below are available as replacement collets for your existing crimping equipment. Some styles are standard in our crimping machines which are described below in the section titled Crimping Equipment.

External Crimping Collets for Bottles, Cans, Sensors, Etc.

• Kartridg Pak and Terco style collets
• J-G style collet
• Metric style collet

Internal Crimping Collets For Spray Cans With One-Inch Valves

• Internal can collet
• Segmented internal can collet

Note: External collets close to crimp such things as spray actuators onto perfume bottles, metal cups to plastic parts, and wicks onto candle lamps, while internal collets expand to attach one-inch valves (spray actuators) onto cans containing products such as household sprays, paint, etc.

Crimping Heads

• External crimping head including collet, for crimping bottles, cans, sensors, etc.
• Internal crimping head including collet, for crimping spray cans

These crimping heads are the same as the ones used on the crimping machines listed below, but can also be purchased separately for incorporation into your new or existing production lines.

We manufacture crimping equipment ranging in complexity and price from a simple, hand-operated machine to an automatic, PLC driven machine. We custom design and manufacture units to fit individual needs.
